Hands
on Spiritual Healing & Counselling
Gentle holistic healing to restore balance of Body, Mind
and Spirit
Timothy Pope
What
is Hands on Spiritual Healing?
What is Hands on Spiritual Healing is an effective natural aid to
self healing. By balancing the energy centre and giving light healing
energy to the client, negative energy can be lifted and dispersed
helping the energy centres return to a more balanced functioning.
By being helped to release the negative energy the person can let
go of past negative events and return to a more
happier balanced existence. Where there is physical pain, possibly
caused through locked in negative energy, the lifting of the negative
energy can remove the discomfort.
Pain in many cases is the body's way of showing you that there is
a problem that needs to be looked at (i.e.) the issue that created
the negative energy that is causing the discomfort. With support
from the healer and the opportunity to talk about issues concerned,
hopefully over a period of time the client can obtain a state of
good health, free of pain in the body, mind and spirit.
What
is this Energy?
Hands on spiritual healing it is said, comes from a divine source
of God, some might say that the healing energy is natural within
nature.
Here
we could enter the argument of what God is. As a spiritual healer
I recognise God as the supreme spirit, that life giving energy that
is present in all forms of life, therefore, this concept embraces
the realm of nature. Even if the client has no religious beliefs
in God, the healing energy will still be received and people of
any belief can benefit from it. A positive approach of wanting to
help themselves is an advantage and will assist both healer and
client during the process.
What
Happens?
On your introduction to the healer an informal chat will take place
to get to know each other. The healer would introduce himself and
explain the healing methods used. No healing would take place on
a first visit. An information exchange would take place with the
voluntary completion of a form and general outline of the problems
being experienced by the client. If the client is interested in
making an appointment for a further visit, either for counselling
prior to receiving healing, or for a healing session, then an appointment
could be made for the following week or for when it is convenient.
The healer
is the channel for the healing energy, the client takes the healing
energy through the healer like he or she would use a straw to suck
their favourite drink from its glass. The clients system would only
take enough healing energy that is able to feel comfortable with,
so on a deeper level the client has control of the healing session.
The actual healing method is with hands on healing, where the client
sits on a stool and listens to relaxing music, while the healer
starts at the top of the body at the head and gradually works down
the back of the body to the base of the spine.
The
healer gently touches the body as he works through each of the seven
main energy centres. There is no need to remove any clothing except
for hats, coat and glasses, if worn and physical contact is kept
to a minimum. Having worked down through the energy centres, the
healer will then proceed to return back up the spine to finish where
he started, at the head.
This
type of holistic healing takes about 15-20 minutes to complete with
a little longer if there is a particular discomfort in one area
that needs more attention. The total session lasts about 45 minutes
to an hour allowing for discussion either side of the healing.
How
Will I feel?
Most people find the healing session relaxing, some people feel
hot or cold in certain areas, also possibly a tingling sensation.
Others just enjoy listening to the music and don't feel any particular
sensations. What ever the client feels does not matter, as the healing
still takes place.
It is important to remember that healing is governed by natural
law and our own lives are governed by the law of karma, the law
of cause and effect. It follows that there is room in some peoples
lives for pain and suffering, as it may be a lesson that they must
learn, for this reason the healer cannot guarantee any cure.
However,
the healing energy will bring about some benefit to the sufferer,
it is never wasted. Even in the case of terminally ill patients,
if the person passes back to spirit, that passing with have been
assisted by either direct of distant healing. There are many times
of course when through healing, people are totally restored to fullness
of health.
What
reactions might I have?
Reactions, if any, are usually quite mild, there is a possibility
of feeling tearful over the next couple of days or of having meaningful
dreams. By removing negative energy from your system the release
is sometimes followed by these events. Once the problem has been
realised by the individual and released then it normally disappears
for good.
Most
people feel more energetic and alive after a course of treatment
and a sense of relief when negative issues have been rectified and
replaced with a more positive attitude.
It is
a good idea to keep a journal, making notes of dreams, feelings,
emotions, thoughts etc. between appointments to remind you to discuss
them on your next visit with the healer.
History
Spiritual healing is not new, it goes as far back as the history
of man, evidence exists that healing dates back thousands of years
BC. The bible is also full of evidence of healing being used to
assist people, Jesus, it is claimed was influenced in his healing
ministry by knowledge of the Egyptian practices taught by the priests
of Aesculapius. It is believed that he spent time in Egypt and also
with the Jewish sect known as the Essenes, who are known to have
practiced hands on healing. So it is believed that healing was practiced
several thousands of years before the coming of Jesus, as far back
as the ancient Egyptian times. Hands on healing was used in various
countries throughout Europe and was in the Church of England prayer
book until 1719. Regrettably the Church, which was founded for the
purpose of healing the sick persecuted the ordinary people for practicing
their natural healing gifts or abilities. Jesus said to his disciples"go
forth and do likewise" and Paul of Tarsus worked hard and as
a result the Christian church grew.
This
continued for more than 500 years as the church of Healing but then
gradually organised religions took over and hands on healing slowly
lost its place in the main stream religions, only to re-emerge n
modern times and once again be used more and more.
